How does ShipEmbargo block a shipment?
Rules run as a native validation inside Shopify checkout. When a cart contains a restricted product and the delivery address matches a blocked state or country, checkout stops the order and shows the buyer the message you wrote. Enforcement runs on Shopify’s servers — it works even if our service is down.
Does it touch my theme or slow down my storefront?
No. ShipEmbargo adds no theme code and no storefront scripts. Nothing loads on your product or cart pages, so there is nothing to slow down — and nothing left behind if you uninstall.
Which Shopify plans does it work on?
Every plan. ShipEmbargo does not use shipping rates for enforcement, so it does not require carrier-calculated shipping or an advanced plan.
